Exposure is not enough for some picky eaters and sometimes some extra support needs to be incorporated into mealtimes and sensory play to encourage touch and interacting with these rejected foods. Before our child is capable of eating the feared food, they need to get comfortable with it. Trying simple techniques like this at the table can help relieve some anxiety, spark curiosity and slowly overcome fears around the good. Every interaction is one step closer to trying the food! Interaction is reducing the fear exposure isn't.
